CRITICAL DISTANCE COMBAT

Critical Distance Combat Course Defined.

Critical Distance Combat (CDC) is a form of close-range combat involving firearms, blades, or hand-to-hand fighting. Joshua Barbosa, an expert in the field, named it. CDC can occur in various situations, including military operations, law enforcement, civilian self-defense, and criminal encounters. It is a brief and intense conflict marked by sudden violence.

In urban environments, CDC typically involves small groups of combatants engaging within a distance of up to 10 feet. The goal for attackers in CDC is to gain control over a defended area swiftly.

CDC demands quick and precise responses, as attackers may seek to harm individuals or take their belongings, their lives, or their bodies. The Full Circle Tactical Training Academy has developed CDC tactics for different scenarios, such as buildings, airplanes, elevators, and vehicles.

Our CDC training uses firearms blade integration tactics, modified wrestling techniques, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to counter ambush attacks effectively and with minimal harm. De-escalation strategies, negotiation skills, and understanding human behavior are also part of the training program.

Each seminar is a practical testing ground where techniques are evaluated in various scenarios, often inspired by real-life incidents. We prioritize effectiveness over loyalty to specific methods and quickly adapt or discard ineffective strategies.

Critical Distance Combat (CDC) is your best chance to survive in your worst hour. Our guiding principle is "Self Preservation Before Weapon Presentation."
