EVIDENCE BASED EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Evidence-Based Experience

To elevate your understanding of evidence-based experiments and enhance your educational experience, it is crucial to integrate hands-on practices alongside theoretical learning. The FULL CIRCLE TACTICAL TRAINING ACADEMY's methodology emphasizes scenario-based exploration, a strategy that can revolutionize your approach to learning. You can deepen your understanding and develop practical skills by prioritizing real-world applications over a strict focus on techniques.

When delving into any subject area, striving to master substance matter rather than mere proficiency is essential. While academic knowledge is valuable, true expertise is cultivated through practical experience and a keen awareness of human behavior, deception, and cognitive intricacies. To embody this level of mastery, engage in hands-on activities, simulations, and real-world applications that allow you to apply theoretical concepts in practical settings. This approach will enhance your learning and equip you with the skills needed to excel in your field.

Butchering the pig and cow.

Last year, I went to Brazil, and a friend of mine, also a cop, invited me to his farm to butcher some pigs and a cow; what a feast, I thought, salivating at the possibility of eating fresh, organic meat.  However, since he had lots of guns and, like me, loved knives, I proposed my friend take the opportunity and test all types of blades we had and several handgun calibers we had available. Most of us buy knives and guns and never experiment with them; how do you know that a knife that costs you $300 does not hurt your hand if you stab flesh and bones? The experiment during that day was eye-opening both for me and my friend; we even soaked our hands in pig’s blood and stabbed meat, ribs, and spine.

Leaving the details out, we both got disappointed with the expensive knives we had; most of them hurt our hands and did poorly, penetrating the flesh. Believe it or not, the knives that did a great job were the butcher knives, and even the steak knives did excellent, outperforming the expensive ones we had. You see, I’m not claiming expertise in testing anything, but I know about the efficiency some types of blades have despite their difference in price and material. Watching the farm butcher dissection pigs and cows was something I was used to, but learning about where and how to cut was priceless; anatomy is something everyone should know, the butcher said as he winked at us.

You can read as much as you can about butchering a cow, but nothing substitutes hands-on with a knife in hand, smelling the blood, and feeling the texture of the hive and meat. Understand; the reason I’m telling this story is that I was hoping you could use it as an anchor to remember the TPA principle: Theory, Practice, Application; that is the reason we use it at the FULL CIRCLE TACTICAL TRAINING ACADEMY.

Sure, you will learn the process and framework while learning the Theory. You will practice the physical drills, feel them, and adapt them to your physicality, only applying them using a scenario as close to a real-life critical encounter that, dear student, will give a picture-perfect mental model. Constant feedback is necessary if you want to improve your skills; measuring results against an established benchmark inside a scenario is non-negotiable if you want to get to the next level; that is the reason why we teach our VEHICLE  CRITICAL DISTANCE COMBAT  (VCDC); they will experience performing the drills inside an actual vehicle, there no other way to build the mental model, your body only goes where your mind went before, and science explains this very clearly, it is n longer a woo-woo science.

If you want to get fundamental skills functional in the 360 degrees you live in, FULL CIRCLE TACTICAL TRAINING ACADEMY is your best choice. Don’t waste your money shooting paper on a static position because that is not how real life works.
