 OVERVIEW

This 5-day course is for either a new or current Firearms Instructor. Civilian, Law Enforcement, and Military personnel are welcome to attend this course. Learn from professional instructors who prioritize imparting the skills, knowledge, and techniques to maximize your potential as a Pistol Instructor. By applying our principles of firearms training, you will be able to teach the fundamentals of marksmanship to a broad array of student types. Prioritizing training objectives, coaching techniques, and correcting common shooter errors are all part of what you will take from this course. We will make you a better Instructor, guaranteed.

 EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

This training course is designed for the current or prospective firearms instructor. You must have documentation of completing an entry-level pistol skills program from F.C.T or a reputable training facility. F.C.T.'s previous students must have attended up through Pistol FCT-105. Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum handgun skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. Please read the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering.

 COURSE OUTLINE

 We hold our instructors to the absolute highest standard, and we teach to the absolute highest standard. The Full Circle Tactical Training Academy wants to ensure that all attendees have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet course standards. However, we understand that each shooter is different and learns at a different level. Therefore, qualification standards allow students to quickly assess their abilities in a controlled environment to prepare them for the next level of training. We talk the talk and walk the walk.

 All Full Circle Tactical Training Academy instructors must pass a semi-annual Master Teacher-level (MTL) qualification course to maintain instructor status. This shooting qualification tests the skills, safety, and techniques taught in this course.

Successful course credit requires the student to meet several combined course requirements. A certificate of achievement vs. a certificate of attendance is not solely based upon the passing or failing of the qualification course. However, students who pass the qualification course will receive a " Full Circle Tactical Training Academy Pistol Instructor" Level 1 Diploma and Patch. Students will be evaluated on their overall performance within the entire course based on the following criteria:

·   Safety protocols

·   Firearms skills and proficiency,

·   Ability to learn and apply new skills

·   Display proficiency in running a live fire range

·   Display the ability to teach and coach students

·   Design courses on fire and demonstrate them properly

·   Understand and apply corrective actions for problem shooters

·   Have a reasonable understanding of F.C.T Methodology

·   Have a proper knowledge of the E.D.I.P. A.S.A.P and A.C.T method

·   Have a good knowledge of performance-based training

 Students will also be required to pass a written exam. The above factors, combined with the student's overall demeanor, attitude, and teaching ability, will be considered and leveraged with the utmost discretion. The course's lead Instructor will have the final say on which of the (2) certificate options the students will receive.

If it is determined that the student will receive a Certificate of Attendance, the instructor will explain why. The instructor will also advise students on improving their performance for future instructor-level courses.

EQUIPMENT LIST

·   Pistol in good working order with at least three magazines (semi-auto center fire pistols only - revolvers or .22 caliber pistols are not allowed)

·   Belt mounted, dominant side holster

·   Magazine pouch

·   Sturdy belt at least 1.5" wide

·   Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning

·   Casual, comfortable clothing appropriate for training in any weather

·   Hydration system

·   Sunscreen and bug spray

·   Hat with a brim

·   Hearing protection

·   Wrap-around eye protection

·   Note-taking materials and highlighter

AMMO

·   Estimated round count: 1000 Pistol rounds

·   Lead core ammunition is to be used on steel only

·   No green/brown tip, armor piercing, or surrogate rounds to be used on steel at any time

·   Ammunition is available for purchase from F.C.TF.C.T.
